Some of our friends have taken our advice, and are about to launch their own Kickstarter campaign on March 1st for their product called the Kanga Kase Mate. Their patent-pending Kase Mate is a really cool and innovative concept made to fit 12, 24, and 30 pack cases of beer, trapping the cold in while keeping the heat out. The Kase Mate provides uber convenience without the hassle of dealing with all the upkeep of a traditional cooler, and the best part is it keeps your beer cold for up to 5 hours WITHOUT ICE!

Shoes are continuing to ship & more news!

Now that a majority of you have started receiving your shoes we are thrilled with the feedback, it's truly an amazing feeling to know that you can now enjoy a product that we've been working so hard on! Seeing our backers posting their shoes on social media, tagging us and loving their Floafers, makes it all worth it! Again, we realize none of this would be possible without you guys and we are forever grateful!

With that said, we would like to address some other topics so everyone is in the know and on the same page!  

Remaining men's colors/shipments:  

The Anchor Grey/Burgundy & Black/Grey colors arrived at our warehouse late on Friday and we are just about finished breaking the pallets down; these colors will start shipping tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday along with the remaining orders that include women's Floafers. As far as all remaining men's colors, they will arrive at our warehouse towards end of week and will be fulfilled within the 48 hours of being broken down. We appreciate your patience on the men's shoes as we are trying to get them to you as fast as they are received. Once the last wave of inventory lands end of week, all KickStarter & pre-orders will be fulfilled and shipped. First production runs are always the hardest, so again, we appreciate your patience and understanding along the way! 

"Break-in" period for the shoes:  

Like any new shoes, Floafers have a break in period of 2-3 days. As many of you know, the EVA material is soft and flexible. After a few days of wear, your Floafers will start to flex and mold to your foot. Keep in mind traditional loafers are suppose to fit snug not tight, so please understand that during the break in period your Floafers will stretch and flex. Shipping Update & More News!

Backers,

We could not be happier knowing that the product we have put our heart & souls into is finally starting to show up at your doorstep! YOU ALL are the reason why we have been able to make this happen and we truly cannot thank you enough; no matter what happens in the future YOU will always be a founding member of the Floafer family and we will never forget it!

Orders have been shipping since Friday!

By now many of you have already received your Floafers! As mentioned in our last update a week ago, we said we would be fulfilling the women's shoes along with the two colors for men's that we received as well. If you've only received part of your order please do not worry, we will fulfill the remaining shoes as they come in.

As your orders ship out you will receive an email notification that tells you exactly what has shipped along with the tracking number. Our team has been working hard to get the orders out the door as fast as possible and they will continue to do so!

What men's colors are shipping next?

We've received a few messages about ETA of remaining men's shoes and we want to address it here before the holiday weekend is upon us. As you know we were shooting to fulfill the rest of them before Labor Day, however because of the holiday weekend we are being told that once the inventory arrives Friday it will sit in the warehouse until Tuesday when the workers return; there is not a thing we can do about it. With that said, our inventory will be at our warehouse next Tuesday and orders will start shipping Wednesday morning; this wave of men's colors includes Anchor Grey/Burgundy & Black/Grey. 

Remaining men's colors

ALL, we repeat, ALL remaining men's colors will be arriving around the 13th and will be fulfilled immediately. Again, we realize we mentioned Labor day and we truly have done everything humanely possible to get them here by Labor day but at this point we have to agree to what our logistics team is telling us. Once this last wave of inventory arrives it will complete the inventory needed to fulfill every single pre-order, KS order & orders placed directly through our eCommerce website! 

Restricted shipping to Southern Texas 

As many of you are aware Hurricane Harvey has been reeking havoc on Southern Texas over the last 4 days and the effects of the storm have been devastating. Our thoughts & prayers are with you and obviously getting a pair of shoes are the last thing on your minds. Either way we do want to let you know we will be holding your orders until things get better and will ship these orders out accordingly:

Floafers Are Coming!

Backers,  

We are thrilled to let you know that our first wave of inventory arrived at our fulfillment center and your Floafers are headed your way! In our last update we mentioned we would be fulfilling the women's orders first as their shoes would be arriving before the men's, however we are pleased to let the guys know we received a few men's colors with our first wave!! Although the majority of our men's Floafers will arrive in our second wave of inventory, we were able to receive both "Moss/Deep Sea & Deep Sea Blue/Aqua" Floafers in this first shipment. 

We are doing everything possible to get the remaining men's Floafers here as fast as possible. We know everyone is anxious, trust us, we are too!

Remaining Shipments  

After this week all women's Floafers orders along with the two men's colors will be fulfilled and shipped and the remaining men's orders will be received, fulfilled and shipped out the following week. Although we fully expect to have our remaining men's inventory at the warehouse by next week, with the holiday weekend around the corner we always plan for something to come up logistically. We are working day & night to make sure we get them to you by Labor Day.

Will I receive a tracking # when my order is shipped?  

Yes! As your orders are shipped out, you will receive an email from our fulfillment team stating your order is on its way with a tracking number included. We are also working with Backerkit to get your tracking numbers uploaded on their site as well so you can track your orders from there too! 

99 Unanswered Surveys....

As we begin to fulfill our Kickstarter orders we want to make sure this has been made very clear; ALL surveys that are received moving forward from today will be entered into our system the next Friday. Once your surveys are in our system we will begin to fulfill the order, however it is subject to delay. Please remember these surveys went out after our KS project ends on April 7th and we have sent reminders almost every week; it has been almost 4.5 months now.

It's been an incredible journey and we won't stop here!

We have and will continue to stay laser focused on getting your orders delivered to you as fast as possible. Manufacturing delays are common with first run productions and unfortunately Floafers was not immune to those set backs, but we have done EVERYTHING possible to minimize these potential delays. Due to delays along the way, our delivery timeline was thrown off by roughly 4 weeks and for that we apologize. We have done everything in our control to make sure the shoes get delivered as quick as possible, but delays happen. All we ask is that you don't kill us for it, please understand once again, this is our first production run; we want you to have your shoes more than you want to have your shoes, believe us.

Floafers Delivery Update

Backers,

We know everyone is starting to get anxious about their orders as we are coming up on the second week of August. We've been working tirelessly with our manufacturer and sourcing partner to 1) make sure the quality of the shoe meets Floafers standards and 2) get our product delivered as quickly as possible. We would like to address the final shipping timeline & make sure everyone understands when they will receive their shoes. Unfortunately over the last 48-hours we've learned that the expected 4-5 day air shipment has now turned into 7-9 days; we've done absolutely everything within OUR control to get your shoes delivered within our promised timeline but with any new product being made overseas delays can also occur logistically. 

Shipping Timeline 

In our case, our women's line has been completed first and we can no longer wait to start fulfilling orders. We realize that we will not be able to hit this weeks timeline of delivering the shoes but with that said we are 100% confident that the 1st wave of shoes will be at our warehouse next week. Any backer that has a women's pair of Floafers included in their order will receive them first. 

What if my order includes both Men & Women's Floafers?

As mentioned above, for example if you order four pairs of Floafers, 2-men's & 2-women's, you are going to receive both women's pairs the week of August 21st. Working with our fulfillment partners we've been able to create a back-end open order system that will allow us to fulfill your open orders immediately as the waves of inventory arrive. As for orders that include men's Floafers, your shoes will start arriving at your doorstep the week of August 28th.

The shoes look amazing!

With all the delays, we can say with pride, that the shoes are awesome. We've received our master samples this past week and not only do the shoes fit great, but they look amazing! We also think the packaging is second to none, see for yourself...

We can confidently say that all backers & pre-orders will receive their shoes before Labor Day (Sept. 4th). 

Again, we apologize for the delay but we are confident you are going to love your Floafers!
